Welcome to the Deben Swimming Club website
Woodbridge based Deben swimming club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Weekly swimming lessons are provided for non swimmers, with progressive teaching leading through ultimately to squad training and competition. Various levels of competition are catered for and training tailored to suit, from in-house fun galas through to county, regional and ultimately national competition level.
The club consists of five sections, each section with it's own specific coaching / teaching aims, and being an all inclusive club we integrate disabilities.
The Teaching Section is for swimmers aged five and above. There are seven groups, which each swimmer will progress through as levels and awards are achieved. The club follows the National Teaching Plan.
We have seven competitive squads each having it's own guidelines for entry (see entry criteria).
The Masters Section aims at maintaining stamina and stroke technique, and to enter master and open events.
The Waterpolo Section has four squads ranging from children of 7 years to 16 years old.
