Noticeboard and Trophy cabinet
Club Noticeboard
There are three notice boards, two on the balcony and another by the setting area. We ask all parents and swimmers to look regularly at the notice boards as they hold various information on fixtures, galas, results and other information we need to pass on. There is even a "Whos who board" showing photos of all the role holders, their reporting line, and any vacancies.
Trophy Cabinets
The trophy cabinet contains all the trophies that the club has won, as well as past, not so past club photographs of club swimmers. The records cabinet holds the club records for all ages and strokes. Any swimmer during any gala can break these records. These records are separate from the Club Championship records. The Canzini Sheild replaced the Europa Cup in 1990 a list of winners can be found in the cabinet. The Canzini Shield is awarded monthly by the coaching team to any swimmer that has worked hard during the previous month. The addition of a new trophy donated by Mr Young and family is dedicated to Joanne Young who taught for several years at Deben Swimming Club. This is awarded by the head coach to a wednesday night swimmer who has worked hard.
We do require prompt return of trophies at the end of the month so it can be awarded for the next month.
